October Ethanol Imports Climb 384,000 Bbl to 985,000 Bbl

WARWICK, N.Y. (DTN) -- Ethanol imports to the United States during the month of October totaled 985,000 bbl or 43.3 million gal, up 384,000 bbl from the month prior, data released by the Energy Information Administration Friday shows.
The main exporter to the U.S. during October was Jamaica, which shipped 292,000 bbl of ethanol, with El Salvador providing 213,000 bbl of ethanol. Brazil sent 148,000 bbl of ethanol to the U.S. in October, with 111,000 bbl of supply exported from Trinidad.

The majority of the month's imports at 542,000 bbl were received by ports along the East Coast. Ports in Texas, received 346,000 bbl of fuel ethanol during October, while Hawaii, offloaded 96,000 bbl of ethanol.
