And this global expansion includes corn ethanol, benefiting farmers in the United States and around the world, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) noted.

LONGMONT — Sales of E85 fuel have steadily increased at both Longmont gas stations that are selling the alternative fuel.
In July, the 1st Stop station at 900 Ken Pratt Blvd. became the first station in Boulder County to sell the fuel, which is composed of 85 percent corn ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.
As last year’s documentary “King Corn” has received renewed media interest, especially in a one-sided report that aired this morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the National Corn Growers Association would like to make a few things clear.
Study finds 20 percent ethanol blend works in wide range of vehicles
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Increasing the amount of renewable ethanol blended into gasoline from10 percent to 20 percent does not present problems for current vehicles or fuel dispensing equipment and provides similar power and performance, according to a new study released Wednesday by the State of Minnesota.
A report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City provides a detailed look at historic and projected increases in food prices. While higher prices for commodities such as corn play a part in price increases for certain food segments, the report states, so-called “marketing costs” – defined by the bank as the difference between the farm value and consumer spending for food – drive the overall increase seen.
