Colorado Corn
Staff member Katrina Davis attended the Clean Cities Statewide Stakeholder Meeting in Boulder. Clean Cities is part of the U.S. Office of Energy and operates under the Efficiency and Renewable Energy Vehicle Technology program. They are a network of nearly 100 nationwide Clean Cities coalitions that bring together private companies, fuel suppliers, local governments, vehicle manufacturers, national laboratories, state and federal agencies, and other organizations to implement alternative-transportation solutions in their communities. Clean Cities representatives from the three Colorado coalitions, Northern Colorado, Denver Metro, and Southern Colorado attended the meeting.
Colorado Corn is part of the Northern Colorado coalition and over the past few years has partnered with Clean Cities to host alternative fueling station grand openings, Odyssey Day and Earth Day events, and multiple events focused on consumer education. Katrina presented information about Colorado Corn’s current Ethanol Market Development projects including: Blender Pump Pilot program related to grant opportunities for ethanol-related infrastructure; Choose Freedom Campaign promotional material development, and the communication partnership with Sturman Industries.
It was a great opportunity to network with other stakeholders and to hear updates from the biofuels, natural gas, propane, advanced vehicle, and electric industries.
