Farm Safety

Farming is one of the most dangerous occupations, second only to mining. Many lives have been lost in Colorado the past decade alone due to farm accidents in addition to millions lost to medical bills with no way to calculate for lost productivity, increased stress, and other secondary impacts on the affected farming operations

Colorado has among the highest rates for injury and death in the farming sector with 10.6 to 12.5 injuries per 100 workers.

Market Development

Ethanol

U.S. corn growers are proud to work hard and be able to meet the demand for corn for food, feed, fuel and fiber. We’re also proud of the important role corn ethanol plays in reducing our nation’s dependence on foreign oil, in helping to protect the environment and in boosting our nation’s economy.

Misinformation about corn based ethanol is abundant in the mainstream media outlets. We are challenged daily to more effectively communicate the facts and provide the necessary tools for producers and industry advocates.
